There are more indications of concern that employees are being put off going to an Employment Tribunal in a poll by Citizens Advice. The lights are constantly red for many not just those who have claims without merit.
If the fees are going to be challenged then, as I have already remarked in a previous post, hard evidence will be needed on the effect of the fees.
For this to be in the form of a poll rather than cases of specific individuals or classes of individuals who are put off applying, it would need to be a rigorously conducted and authoritative poll.
More than 80% of clients seeking help from Citizens Advice say they would be put off going to an employment tribunal by the level of fee they would face.
